Rooms:
There are three bedrooms at MacPherson Lodge. The View
Room has a King sized bed and queen sized sofa, with a full private bath
and private balcony. For a more private stay, we recommend the Rainbow
Suite, which has a private entrance, complete kitchen and bath, with a
king double/king twin bed and queen sized sofa bed. If you are the
social type, the Green Room is the closest to the lounge.
The View Room:
Enjoy your morning coffee on your private balcony that
overlooks the graceful Columbia River and precipitous Columbia
Mountains. In the evening, watch the groomers across the valley as
they prepare the ski hill for another day.
The room features a king sized bed, a queen sized sofa
bed, and a full ensuite bath, and independent satellite TV.
The Rainbow Suite:
All the comforts of home, without any unwanted
distractions. The Rainbow Suite offers privacy and comfort to anyone
seeking some peace and quiet. It includes your own private entrance,
kitchen, and ensuite bath.
There's plenty of room for you and your party in your
own suite. The room features a king sized bed and a queen sofa
pull-out. The Rainbow Suite also includes independent satellite TV.
The ensuite bath includes a full bath and shower.
The Green Room:
The Green Room is perfect for a couple or a single
person. The room is situated between the soaking bath and the upper
lounge.

you will leave the lodge full and satisfied, prepared for whatever
adventure you are seeking. Every morning, breakfast is laid out, which
includes

- juices, milk, tea and coffee
Amenities:
Sit back and relax in our newly renovated, spacious loft
that overlooks the dining room. Its a perfect place to sit and read,
curl up with a loved one and watch a movie, or socialize with other
travelers of similar interests.
The loft features several couches and chairs, satellite
TV, an assortment of complimentary movies, and a selection of books and
games.
We have a large kitchen for common use, as well as the
dining room. Here you can eat your meals in front of the blazing
fireplace.
To experience the ultimate in relaxation, try soaking in
our clawfoot bathtub, directly under the skylight. Don't worry, only the
birds will peer in at you.
Attractions and Activities:
Just footsteps away (or a short ski away, depending on
the season) are the MacPherson trails. The trails are unique and
spectacular in their wilderness setting and typical of the natural
beauty of the area. The trail system winds through a demonstration
forest using mainly old logging roads. There is a good variety of
terrain to suit all types of skiers. Some trails are flat and easy and
there are also a some tough climbs and thrilling descents. The Ole
Sandberg Hut, a lovely log cabin on the Main Loop trail provides
shelter. There are approximately 22 km (14 mi.) of trails
which are all groomed double wide with the club's PB 170 snowcat for
both skating and classic technique. There are also some ungroomed single
and double wide tracks for those who like to venture into the deep. In
the summer, these trails make excellent mountain biking terrain and also
host guided or self interpreted walks through the demonstration forest.
If you are interested in other areas for x-c skiing,
there are a few other trail systems in the area:
- The Revelstoke Nordic Ski Club also sets a double
classic track on the Revelstoke Golf Course.
- Parks Canada grooms the Meadows in the Sky Parkway
in Mt. Revelstoke National Park up to the Monashee Lookout.
- The Revelstoke Columbia River flats are also a
popular spot for x-c skiers. There are no set trails here but the
skiing is great here in February and March when the snow is firm.
- There are also several ski trails off the highway
throughout Mt. Revelstoke and Glacier National Parks (Just east of
Revelstoke)
If you are more interested in gravity-powered skiing,
Revelstoke is the town for you! We have some the fluffiest, most
abundant powder in the world, and there are several ways to access this
incredible white stuff. Depending on your budget, you can ski from
helicopters, snow cats, or chairlifts (inquire about package deals). Of
course, there are also many miles of trails for excellent snowmobiling
and ski touring. If you don't own the gear, no problem; you can rent it
in town.
There are also many summer activities in the area. Just
down the road, past Mount MacPherson Trails, try the rock climbing at
Begbie Slabs. If you are into hiking and mountaineering, Mount
Revelstoke and Glacier National Parks offer some of the most rugged and
pristine terrain in southwestern Canada. There are several commercial
and natural hot springs in the area, including Albert Canyon, where you
can also go whitewater rafting and kayaking. Within walking distance of
the lodge are dude ranches for trail riding. Basically, if it happens
outdoors, it happens at Revelstoke.
For a more relaxed vacation, stop in at the Revelstoke
and Mica dams for tours of these magnificent structures. You may also be
interested in the Railway Museum, downtown Revelstoke.
