Nestled in the quaint community of James Bay, The Cottage is situated on a quiet street just a minutes walk from the ocean and ten minutes from Victoria's popular inner harbour.

Victoria is such a special city as well as being the Capital of British Columbia, there is so much to do. The Parliament Buildings, The Royal British Columbia Museum, the famous Empress Hotel and horse-drawn carriage rides through Beacon Hill Park are close by.

This is the place to be for people watching awesome views of ocean and mountains. Victoria enjoys blossoms in February and flowers everywhere until late in the fall.

The air is filled with treats to delight your senses. Sea gulls and the occasional ships whistle invite us to take a leisurely walk along the beach after breakfast and take in the incredible vistas of the Olympic Mountain Range.

Closer to home the smell of cedar adds to the rustic flavour as we are greeted with a smile at the door for the first time. You will immediately get the feeling of warmth and comfort as you enter.

The colours are soft and the furnishings are modern and practical. The main living area is open to the second floor with a cathedral ceiling and a warm and inviting wood stove. A wonderful selection of art, Depression Glass and crystal adds to the home atmosphere. Family photos bring personality and conversation.

The Rose Room:

As our guest it is a pleasure to pamper you.

The Rose Room is our signature room with a double bed and lovely bedding in soft pastels. The down duvets with down pillows complete the comfort.

The private bathroom, complete with Robes for two, add a basket of soft towels and all your needs for a quick shower or a lingering tub!

The Garden Room:

The Garden room, with twin beds, also has the soft pastel bedding, down duvets and pillows.

This room has a private ensuite bathroom, with soft towels, shampoo, soap and shower cap.

Conveniences:

Sit by the fire and write a letter on our custom stationery. There is a cozy sitting room off the bedrooms for your use, which includes TV/VCR and a selection of movies and books. The bathroom is fully equipped with modern conveniences including a tub large enough for two! Some of our conveniences include:

The Evening Treat:

Breakfast is served at a time convenient for our guests with coffee and tea available anytime after 7:00 am.

Our specialty is the Traditional English Breakfast, which includes fresh fruit, juice, sausages and a rasher of bacon and eggs cooked to your taste with hash browns, English muffins and more fresh coffee and tea. Our homemade jams will delight the "sweet tooth". We are Kitchen Safe Certified.
