Experience unspoiled beauty, the tranquil setting and
watch the sun rise over the Coast mountains.
As dawn breaks, an abundance of marine life becomes
visible while nearby, deer lick salt from rocks onshore.
Welcome to your coastal Shangra-la!
The View:
Step off the deck and onto the beach and watch the local
ferry as it passes by.
There are miles of beach for you to explore. Dig clams,
paddle a canoe or simply stroll along the beach.
Evenings are a panacea of twinkling stars and glimmering
sea illuminated by the many phases of the moon and passing cruise liners
and they navigate the world famous Georgia Straits.
The still of the night is interrupted by the ocean's
music as it lulls you to sleep.
All this and more awaits your stay at Copes' Islander on
Vancouver Island's sunny Comox peninsula.

Great Food and Hospitality:
Awaken to the aroma of coffee brewing and something
tasty baking in the oven. Savour meals featuring local products.
About Comox:
Comox is located next door to Courtenay and is about
half way up Vancouver Island's east coast.
The Comox Valley is ideal for year round activities.
Here you can find activities from golf to skiing... from scuba diving to
walks along the beach.
'Comox' means "Place of Plenty" and here, you
will find it all.
The Comox Valley includes the City of Courtenay, the
Town of Comox, the Village of Cumberland and the Hamlet of Merville. In
addition, the Comox Valley extends north to the Oyster River, Black
Creek and Saratoga Beach. To the south, the Comox Valley extends to
Royston, Union Bay, Fanny Bay, Ship's Point and both Denman and Hornby
Islands.
With the Beaufort Mountain Range and the Comox Glacier
in the background, the Comox Valley is a beautiful place to visit.
As for climate, the region is quite mild. Relatively
speaking, the winters are short and the summers are warm. This is one
part of Canada that allows you year round fun.
Comox is 220 kilometers north of Victoria, 50 kilometers
south of Campbell River, and 150 kilometers from Vancouver.
You can reach Comox from Victoria which is about 3 hours
away. From Vancouver, you would need to arrive by ferry. However, for a
real treat, one might want to consider arriving in Comox from Powell
River as the Powell River ferry comes here. Don't forget to look for
killer whales as you cross Georgia Strait!
