Castlebury Inn is a 'magical folly' to "romance your soul". Follies were all the craze in the 17th century. For the most part they were romantic whimsies, built to create places for contemplation and 'fruitful melancholy'.

Castlebury Inn is surely this! A medieval one bedroom 'Kingly' suite with a fireplace, giant marble soaking tub, kitchen and all the amenities you would expect for 'Royal' relaxation and a good 'knights' sleep. There's even a Juliet lookout - an ocean view balcony to watch the sun rise and set on the Bay. A breakfast basket is delivered in the morning. This hideaway is tucked in the heart of world famous Chemainus, an artistic, romantic seaside village on Vancouver Island.

This whimsical and romantic castle is a complete one bedroom 'royal' suite. Old world ambience and charm marries new world convenience. Outfitted with fireplace, giant marble soaker tub, 'golden' queen bed, living room and dining area, mini-kitchen, TV, VCR, Music, telephone, air-conditioning, two balconies, laundry facilities, and a private drive.

The rough plastered walls are frescoed in taupes to give an ancient castle feel. Vaulted ceilings lend an airy whimsy that captures your heart. The 'golden' queen bed is dressed in luxurious mauve linens and topped with a purple velvet down duvet. A large archway announces the giant marble soaker tub with a crackling fire and subdued lighting.

Castlebury Inn is a little hideaway, and yet is in the heart of Chemainus. From Juliet's Lookout, watch the sun rise with your morning coffee and set on the bay with a glass of wine. As evening veils the day, wish upon a star. After a night of sweet dreams awaken and feast on the sumptuous breakfast basket that is delivered to you.

Snuggle up on a purple velvet couch in front of the fireplace and listen to melodic tunes or watch one of the romantic videos - 'Shakespeare in Love' anyone?
