Suites:

The elegance of this English country inn is tastefully blended with the comforts expected today. Each of the guest suites has a private bath, goose-down comforters, and English antiques. Some of the rooms have wood-burning fireplaces, Jacuzzi tubs, skylights, chandeliers, and leaded stained-glass windows. Each room is individually decorated to be a romantic delight. As our guest, it is your chance to taste a quieter world where all that becomes important is tea time and keeping the fire stoked.

The Beaconsfield Suite:

Indulge yourself. Sink into a down-filled love-seat in front of a wood-burning fireplace. Or, lounge on the cozy, chintz-covered window seat and let the sun caress you. Imagine a third floor attic retreat all to yourself furnished with exquisite antiques featuring a Queen four-poster canopied bed. There's a jetted tub to relax in and a writing desk to record the memories. You might even catch a moonbeam through your skylight.

The Gatekeeper's Suite:

A crackling wood-burning fireplace welcomes you in this garden level suite. Leaded, stained-glass windows let the afternoon sun play over a formal antique-furnished sitting area. French doors open to a private garden patio. A jetted tub in the private bathroom massages away all cares and at night, double doors create an inner sanctum for the Queen bed.

The Garden Suite:

Located on the garden level, this suite has a separate entry French door to a bright patio bordered with roses and lavender. Done in Ralph Lauren stripes and floral that breathe the sunshine and English garden inside, it offers a whirlpool tub-for-two, a Queen bed and a river-rock gas fireplace. A pair of French doors lead to the peaceful sitting room.

The Emily Carr Suite:

Named after Victoria's most famous artist, this second floor suite offers understated elegance in Ralph Lauren fabrics of hunter green and burgundy. A whirlpool tub-for-two with a view of the fireplace adds to the romantic setting while the cozy sitting room is the perfect place to evoke your creative muse. Queen bed.

The Duchess Suite:

A second floor room fit for royalty done in a "Foxhunt" theme. A wood-burning fireplace and half-canopied Queen sleigh-bed captures the romance of the moment. The large bathroom is proof of the turn-of-the-century obsession with luxury in the bath: an Edwardian Wooden-canopied tub and shower, pedestal sink and a tapestry armchair for private contemplation. The rest is up to you...

The Parlour Suite:

Three walls with original leaded stained-glass windows overlooking the front English cottage garden make this large guestroom one of the brightest in the Inn. On the main floor in gentle pastels of soft peach and mint green, the high ceilings, original mahogany hardwood floors and moulding details portray the airy romance of the period. Snuggle under the down-filled duvet on the wrought iron Queen bed, write some postcards at the antique writing table or enjoy a whirlpool bath. An elegant white-mantled wood-burning fireplace...Ah, the Age of Innocence revisited!

The McClure Suite:

Savour the bygone era of luxury as you recline on an antique chaise-lounge in front of a wood-burning fireplace with a carved oak-columned mantle. Named after the inn's well-loved turn-of-the-century architect, this second level room has a medley of blue velvet and blue cotton chintz prints. Enjoy a long, luxurious soak in the whirlpool tub. A lace-canopied Queen bed ensures sweet dreams.

The Veranda:

Once Gertrude's sewing room, "solitude" and "comfort" come to mind as you enter this cozy second floor room. Rattan chairs, stenciled walls and country pine brings this queen bedded room a casual ambience. And in the bath, a jetted tub-for-two and separate shower fitted into a window-lined alcove, a pedestal sink and a chandelier make you ask yourself: did Gertrude ever have it this good?

The Hideaway Suite:

A gas corner fireplace and two leaded stained-glass windows make this cute main level room a surprise gem. Brass Queen bed, dropped chandelier and cheerful chintz. Shower only.

The Gardens:

Spend some quiet moments wandering through our beautiful gardens....where there are many little paths to discover. There are roses, tulips, split-leaf maples, and all kinds of colourful flowers and shrubs with a smattering of colourful borders. Over the coming months, we will post the latest pictures of our garden as it passes through the seasons.
