The just published "Unofficial Guide to Bed &
Breakfasts in the Northwest" by Sally O'Neal Coates rates us as one
of the best in the whole area. Her review says it all:
"Top-Notch, all-suite bed and breakfast has it all: peaceful
setting, great views, fabulous breakfasts, well-appointed rooms, and
super hosts. Classy, clean, upscale-one of our favorite Vancouver
properties. Gourmet breakfast, served at a common table with a view of
the bay includes freshly squeezed orange juice, home-baked bread or
muffins, choice of cold cereals, yogurt, fruit, a hot entree (such as
sockeye salmon & eggs or mascarpone-stuffed French toast), and a
heavenly dessert. Special diets accommodated graciously. Backyard is
like your own private park. Adorable, well-behaved small pets on-site.
BayView has lovely suites and a panoramic view.
Each romantic suite includes...
- a bedroom with a view of English Bay
- a top of the line queen size bed
- a private sitting room with lots of books and videos
- a TV/VCR, small refrigerator and phone
- a writing desk
- a private bathroom
- robes, hair dryer, and iron
BayView is in a wonderful location. It is only...
- 15 minutes to the centre of the city
- 10 minutes to Stanley Park
- 5 minutes to beaches, parks, trendy restaurants,
antique shops and a seaside walk
- 10 minutes to hiking, skiing and bird-watching in
the local mountains
- 15 minutes to the Horseshoe Bay ferry to Vancouver
Island
- 90 minutes to world famous Whistler Mountain
Your hosts, Gwen and Jim, will welcome you to their
charming home. Educated and well-traveled, they enjoy meeting people and
will direct you to interesting things to do and see in the Vancouver
area. Their small dog Simon and their cat Purrshia will also welcome
you!
Every morning you will be served a delicious, generous
breakfast in the dining room, which over looks the garden and a
spectacular view of English Bay and the city. Gwen and Jim both love to
cook, so you can expect breakfast to be a special treat!
Reviews:
This home in West Vancouver has a spectacular view of
English Bay, Stanley Park and the city skyline. It's set in the middle
of a trendy area with upscale restaurants and shops. From the nearby
seawalk you can sit and watch the cruise ships head north to Alaska.

If you're looking for quiet, BayView Bed and Breakfast's perch in
an exclusive residential neighborhood above West Vancouver is the place.
A spacious, neat home at the end of a little-travelled cul-de-sac,
BayView has a four room suite on the main floor and two three-room
suites upstairs. All offer nice views down to the water a mile below,
and the Lion's Gate Bridge beyond. Guests are greeted with a plate of
steaming fresh cookies. Despite its bucolic locale, it's just 15 minutes
from downtown Vancouver.
If you appreciate astounding views, old English Gardens
and elegant surroundings, head to the BayView Bed and Breakfast in a quiet
cul-de-sac in West Vancouver. Elaborate wall coverings and bedding,
exquisite furnishings and a fine selection of Canadian art makes this
bed and breakfast special. There are three suites with private baths and sitting
rooms; in each you can lie in bed and see Lion's Gate Bridge backed by
Stanley Park and the city. The downstairs suite is large with a kitchen,
queen-size sofa bed and private entrance. A generous deck overlooks the
luxuriant garden, the ocean and the city. A four-course breakfast
includes fresh baking. Close to West Vancouver beaches, seawalk and
shops, and a 15-minute drive to city centre.
