Only 40 minutes drive north of Adelaide, our Getaway Cottage's are perfectly situated with ease of access to the local experiences including
the town of Gawler, distinct with character eminently worthy of its status as 'the first country town established in South Australia'.
For those who enjoy their food and wine, host Jeannine can make plenty of suggestions as to how to entertain yourself in the world famous
Barossa Valley.
Getaway Cottage:
The Cottage is fully furnished, and fully furbished, with everything you need for a relaxing, hassle free stay.
The Lounge:
Open out the sofa bed, sit back, relax, and enjoy a selection of videos and DVD’s. Listen to some music, read a good book, or just relax
with a glass of your favourite beverage. The lounge room features two sofas, one is a queen size sofa bed. Enjoy the open fire that is perfect
for chilly days and evenings, and for added romance. A decanter of port on the mantle piece for a complimentary glass of port for guests.
Dining Room:
The dining room features a large solid pine dining table with 6 chairs. Beautifully decorated, simplistic and stylish. A magnificent matching
antique leadlight cabinet helps complete the perfect dining room setting.
Kitchen:
The fully renovated, country style kitchen is equipped with all the comforts of home:

- toaster
- glassware
- microwave
- saucepans
- dinner sets and utensils
- high chair available for babies as well
Tea, coffee, sugar and milk are complimentary.
Bathroom:
The bathroom is simply breathtaking!! Fully renovated, including a beautiful, large corner spa, shower and blackwood vanity. Soak away the
days activities with a nice long spa bath and a glass of your favourite champagne. Absolute heaven!
Main Bedroom:
The main bedroom has a queen size antique, half tester brass bed, complete with lace canopy. The remainder of the room is fully furnished with
all antique furniture. Painted and decorated in soft floral and pink, with a combination of antique and lace for romance and charm, you'll feel
complete relaxation. All linen, towels and bedding are provided at no additional charge. Portacot is available for babies as well!
Second Bedroom:
The second bedroom has two single brass beds, placed either side of the fireplace. The room is decorated in a shabby chic style, and is simply
stunning. All linen, towels and bedding are provided at no additional charge. Portacot is available for babies as well!
Getaway Cottage II:
Getaway Cottage now offers guests the choice of another beautiful modern three bedroom cottage. Getaway Cottage II, is situated on Jarvis
Street, is very new and modern, furnished and decorated with a contemporary feel. This cottage is ideally suited to larger groups, business or
families traveling together.
The cottage is fully self contained and features three bedrooms. Two bedrooms have queen size beds, while the third has two single beds (all
fitted with electric blankets, linen, hypo-allergenic quilts and pillows).
A large fully equipped kitchen comes complete with all dinnerware, microwave, fridge, crockery and utensils etc. The dining room has a large 6
person dining table. The lounge room features a large TV, DVD/Video combo and a selection of DVD's and Videos to enjoy. A radio/tape/DVD player
for guests to enjoy also.
The cottage has full laundry facilities including a washing machine, dryer, pegs, clothes horse and wash basket. A clothesline is located
outdoors for guests use. All towels, linen and bedding are supplied.
Outside in the private courtyard there is an undercover area, with a 6 person outdoor setting and a gas BBQ for guests to use. The telephone is
connected for local call use.
The cottage also boasts ducted reverse cycle air-conditioning, lock-up car garage under the main roof, with internal access to the cottage.
Located two minutes walk from our other stunning circa 1875 cottage, this cottage would be ideally suited to families or groups traveling
together, or guests traveling on business. The cottage is located only a few minutes drive to the main street of Gawler, and only 15 minutes drive
to the Barossa Valley. A fabulous location for travelers and business people alike.

Getaway Cottage now offers guests a third, 4 star bed and breakfast accommodation cottage, suitable for short or long term stays. Perfectly
suited to singles, couples, families and business guests.
This cottage is a modern two bedroom property that is fully furnished and fully self contained. Offering peace, quiet, security and privacy, this
cottage has everything you need for a relaxing hassle free stay. All you need to bring is your clothes and toothbrush!
This cottage is decorated with a modern/contemporary feel, featuring brand new, modern style furniture with modern décor and art. Beautifully
presented and meticulously maintained, this cottage is guaranteed to please all guests.
The main bedroom has a queen size bed, complete with hypo allergenic quilts, pillows and pretty linen to compliment the décor. The main
bedroom also features a large, full length built in wardrobe, (perfect for extended stays).
The second bedroom features two single beds, also complete with hypo allergenic quilts, pillows and linen, to compliment the room.
The cottage features a spacious lounge/dining area. Complete with a dining table, sofas, TV, video and DVD Player. There is a portable radio/tape/CD
player for guests use also.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave oven, saucepans, utensils, crockery, dinnerware, ovenware, kettle, toaster, electric fry pan
etc. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk are complimentary.
The bathroom features a separate shower, separate bath and hand basin. All linen, towels, bedding and blankets are supplied for guests use.
The cottage also features a laundry, which is complete with a washing machine, iron, ironing board, pegs, clothes horse and washing basket. A
clothes line is located outdoors also.
This cottage also boasts a lock-up garage under the main roof with interior access through to the kitchen, for added security. Extra car
parking is situated adjacent to the cottage, giving room for at least two extra cars on site.
The cottage has ducted evaporative cooling, and ceiling fans for summer comfort. Portable oil heating for the winter months.
The telephone is connected for guests to make local calls from, enabling guests to connect to the internet.
Outdoors in the courtyard garden there is a 4 burner gas BBQ provided for guests use, along with a teak outdoor setting and umbrella.

The Cottage is situated a few minutes walk to the very popular Willaston Hotel, the Gawler Par 3 Golf course and only a short walk to
Gawler’s Historical Main Street. Gawler also boasts the Gawler Golf Club.
Take a walk, or scenic drive through the historic Church Hill area, and see the beautiful churches, cottages and buildings in South
Australia’s oldest country town. Church Hill area has been classified as a State Heritage Area. It demonstrates the town planning and building
design of the 1830's.
Visit one of Gawler’s ten hotels, have a cappuccino in one of the popular cafes, or a meal and movie at a choice of restaurants.
Gawler is only a 15 minute drive to the world famous Barossa Valley, where you can visit wineries, antique shops, cafes, restaurants, hotels
and many, many, famous tourist destinations.
