There are many places to stay in Sydney but there is only one Simpsons
of Potts Point.
This small intimate boutique hotel was created from the restoration of
an 1892 stately Potts Point mansion. To stay as a guest in one of our
fourteen rooms is to experience the charm and spaciousness of an era long
past.
Simpsons of Potts Point is situated in leafy tree lined Potts Point,
near many interesting restaurants and cafés.
While staying here, you will experience elegant hospitality in the most
pleasant of surroundings. You will have access to tea and coffee
facilities throughout the day.
Enjoy a delicious continental breakfast in the conservatory.
Complimentary fruit, wine, chocolates, etc are available to those in Cloud
Suite.
Simpsons of Potts Point is but a 10 minute walk to Oxford Street
nightlife, bars and clubs. Best of all, we are only a 15 minute pleasant
stroll along the water to city center, the NSW Art Gallery and museums, or
via the beautiful Botanic Gardens to the Opera House, Circular Quay
Harbour Ferries to Taronga Zoo, Manly & Darling Harbour Aquarium,
State Library, Parliament House, City Aquatic & Sports Centre and the
historic Rocks area.
The Queen Victoria shopping boutiques along with other tourist and
business areas including most major museums are all within easy walking
distance.
All of us here at Simpsons of Potts Point look forward to making your
stay in Sydney as enjoyable as possible.

About Simpsons of Potts Point:
The charm and sophistication of European cities is reflected in this
gracious and elegant small hotel. In Sydney, Simpsons of Potts Point is a
luxurious, historic hotel offering a perfect example of sympathetically
restored architectural heritage combined with contemporary comfort.
Built as the family residence of John Lane Mullins, a member of the New
South Wales Colonial Parliament, Simpsons was designed in 1892 by leading
Sydney architect, John Bede Barlow.
The glory of this house has been recaptured in the imaginative
restoration which provides spacious rooms, grand halls and stained glass
windows.
A unique range of ‘arts and crafts’ decorations of the period
enhances the rooms. Exquisite prints from the hand of the renowned
Australian artist Ellis Rowan, and friezes of Australian flora have been
drawn from the collections of Sydney’s premier museum, the Powerhouse.
