Guest House:
The guest house is a 700 square meter building with modern luxury
combined with all the comforts of a bygone era.
Ornate cornices, cathedral ceilings and an abundance of warm timber
features have been used to compliment the quiet luxury of old world
Axminster, open fire and granite surrounds.
All bathrooms have been finished with gold fixtures and mahogany
vanities.
Accommodation consists of:
- Two rooms with queen beds
- Two superior suites with king beds
- One room with two king single beds / or king bed
- One family room with queen bed and two king single
Each guest suite has a magnificent view of the lake and peaceful
surroundings that can be enjoyed from your own private balcony.
Robyns Nest Guest House has a guest lounge and BBQ facilities are
available.
All rooms are serviced daily.
The guest house is not suitable for children.
Cottages:
Guest cottages are a luxury 5 star standard, fully equipped and air
conditioned.
You may choose between 1 or 2 bedroom units:
- Two bed units have 2 bathrooms
- One bed units have a large spa bath
All units have private balconies with BBQ and absolute water views.
Quality of finish is in keeping with the guest house. Kitchens are of
solid timber harvested from the property. All appliances are state of
the art.
Facilities:
The guest house has exclusive use of a Jacuzzi and sauna indoors.
Luxurious towelling robes are provided in each room.
Both the guest house and cottages have the use of the 15 meter solar
heated pool and outdoor spa.
A competition standard grass tennis court provides guests with hours
of enjoyment. Night lights are available for an evening match for those
who have too much to do during the day.
Attractions:
Robyns Nest is situated a short 3 minute drive from the center of
Merimbula or for the more active a beautiful boardwalk follows the
waters edge of Top Lake all the way into the town center.
A leisurely walk will take 45 minutes and many guests choose to walk
into town, have lunch or dinner and catch a cab back to Robyns Nest.
The acreage surrounding Robyns Nest encourages the adventurous to
explore and bushwalk among the abundant wildlife. Enjoy the sea eagles,
kangaroos, wallaby’s or the 56 identified varieties of bird life,
including our signature sound, the Bell Birds.
The Top Lake has a boat hire facility for lake fishing, channel
access to the ocean, and a mooring facility is available at Robyns Nest.
Merimbula has many national attractions including whale watching in
season, pristine beaches and is surrounded by national parks.
About Merimbula:
Located on the Sapphire Coast, Merimbula is considered a a holiday
resort town. Merimblua is located between Tathra and Pambula on the
coast. Every year, thousands of tourists flock to Merimbula.
Merimblua has a population of only about 4,000 (more though in the
summer). Merimbula is situated around the beautiful coastal waterways of
Merimbula, Top and Back Lakes. All three of these clean tidal lakes
provide a perfect location for a holiday town to exist.
Beaches and Fishing:
There are numerous beaches in and around Merimbula that you can
enjoy. There are beaches suitable for children and for those that want
to surf, both boart and body surfing.
For those that like to fish, there are plenty of opportunities to
do so. Merimbula wharf is a popular spot which provides deep sea
fishing without the need of a boat.
Parks:
Bournda National Park is but a short drive from the town.
Entertainment:
The Magic Mountain complex is a great place to have fun.
There are waterslides, a mountain slide, forest maze, pools, a
playground, picnic areas and a roller coaster ride.
In town, there is also an aquarium, a family leisure farm, winery
and lake, river or sea cruises.
The Sapphire Coast:
Also known as Bega Valley, The Sapphire Coast is the most southerly
coastal region in NSW.
There are plenty of things to do in The Sapphire Coast including a
cultural tour with the local aboriginals at Wallaga Lake in the north.
To the south, great fishing can be found at Wonboyn Lake, just north of
the Victorian border.
Bermagui is a northern coastal town famous for its links to the
author Zane Grey who often enjoyed game fishing there.
Merimbula, the town in which Robyns Nest is situated, is located
around beautiful lakes. These lakes provide an entrance to the Pacific
Ocean. Pambula and Pambula Beach are both attractive smaller towns
offering peaceful and central holiday destinations.
Eden, located a little bit further to the south, is well known for
its historical association as a center for whaling and now for its
fishing and timber industries. For a fascinating look into the history
of the area, then the whale museum is worth visiting.
There's plenty to see and do in the Sapphire Coast. You will find
numerous small yet quaint towns in the region.
